TapCellar is great. Especially if youre a nerd who loved data and tracking. Even if youre just a regular human with a thirst for craft beer though, this app is great for keeping track of each new brew you try. I love the filter options and being able to keep a beer journal, bookmark and grade beers, track my inventory, and a shopping list.. Wonderful. These are such great features and I love this app. So much attention to detail. No surprise when somebody like MacDrifter is involved though. Very well made and a lot of fun to track new beers.

This is by far my favorite beer app. Its right up my alley and I really appreciate the database updates.

In theory this should be great but its so slow and unresponsive on my 6S that its worthless. Takes several seconds for every tap to register. Theres also no reason at all this needs to be almost 600MB.

This app is simple to use for organizing your cellar. Sharing features are limited but, that is fine w me. Allows for different vintages and bottle counts on each. Allows you to edit any beer locally on the app. Would be nice to have iCloud sync with other devices. UPDATE: the last 2 updates to app erased all vintage variations leaving only the most current vintage. This is a real bummer. Looking for a different solution now.

I loved earlier versions of this. But it has become almost unresponsive; basic taps take forever to register. And theres no way it should be over 500MB.

Not the fastest app, but I liked the philosophy behind it. After the last update, the first DB sync took forever and was making the app unresponsive. I finally did a manual sync and let it go for 15 minutes and it finally completed. Updated 20k beers. I dont know why it took so long but the app is no longer slow to register taps.

I’m always asking the beer drinker in the family “What did you think of this one?” when we’re out shopping. This app provides a handy way of tracking the answers. The information that comes with many of the beers in the database is interesting and appreciated. I especially like the lack of "share your ranking on Facebook" buttons. Unfortunately this app is unresponsive to the point of being unusable while syncing is in progress. I had to disable automatic syncing and run it manually when I wasnt using the app. There are also some other issues that I’d love to see addressed, including a better indication of just what Im searching, dragging over the information box reliably scrolling it, a recognition that Ive actually paid for an upgrade, and, especially, syncing my data across multiple installations of the app.

Writing in my journal is horribly slow. It also seems to sporadically lose journal entries and ratings that I’ve entered.

I have a hard time rating this app because Ive never seen any app this non-responsive. It looks like it might be good, but searching, typing, etc. take an extremely inordinate amount of time. Ive owned iPhones and associated apps for years and have never seen an app so slow. Running the latest version from an iPhone 6 Plus. Everything else works fine. This app has potential, but at the moment has me pulling my hair out!
